1st Page 2000 by Evrsoft has just crashed on me one too many times. Time to find a new HTML editor.
My car is all fixed and looks great again. I even got the check for it, though a bit late.
I'm learning PHP (Which stands for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor". Yes, it's really a recursive acronym.) PHP is the engine that drives Gallery which is how my photo album works.

I wrote a guest book in it. Read it or Write in it.

Oh, and by some miracle or twist of fate, I have moved up Google's ranking! I'm no longer number three when you search for "Tom Cerul", I'm number one! :)

It's Blanking hot this week!
Email Hoax Generators has a few pages for starting your own email hoax. It's fun! (No, I didn't try it.)
Hopefully you can watch Flash animations. HomestarRunner.com has lots of them. I recommend these, in this order: Stong Bad's email about drawing dragons, followed by a small game, and perhaps an Mp3

I got pulled over in Veteran yesterday for speeding and having a light out. No ticket. *cheer* Hurray for moving carefully and speaking respectfully to police officers.
For folks who may try to interview at James McGuinness and Associates, they are bad at communicating their interview methodology. First off, they are a suit and tie business. Furthermore, my understanding is that they do a phone interview, a preliminary interview which includes an old apptitude test and then a final interview. They send Very polite rejection notices.
Harry Turtledove wrote a fine book, which I just finished, called "The Guns of the South". In it, some folks go back in time and hook the Confederate Army up with lots of AK47's and crates of ammo. It's quite entertaining and Mr. Turtledove has stayed as close to reality as fiction can allow. Most of the characters are named after people who existed and had those jobs. It gets kinda slow in the middle but picks back up.

James McGuinness and Associates have decided not to hire me. I received a very polite letter from them this morning. I'm contemplating offering my services to them part time as a web designer/ content writer.
I've got an appointment to get my car fixed this coming Wednesday. Insurance is covering most of it. My deductable is even lower then normal because deer are under the "comprehensive" part of the insurance.

I hit a deer on the way back from Kung Fu tonight. It was a small one. Not much damage. The deer died before we found it. I got a police report and I'll call my insurance folks in the morning.

-- It turns out that my interview was a pre-interview complete with an hour of apptitude testing. They'll use that and what they learned about me over lunch to decide whether to call me in for another interview.
-- For the guys in the audience: Someone's web log has a LOT of pictures of Zurich's party girls. They are all clothed, but they're all dressed to be at clubs.
Armour Links:
-- The event Market Day at Birka made it onto a news show called NH Outlook. (You'll need Real Player.) It's at the end of the show, around minutes 21 to 27.

-- Go read "Brag! The art of tooting your own horn without blowing it" by Peggy Klaus, isbn 0-446-53179-0. It rocks.
-- Wish me luck tomorrow, interview.
-- The GoogleBot crawled my photo album the other day. Dunno if I like that or not.
-- We went to a co-ed wedding shower for our friends yesterday and had some fun. I think I'll encourage Jenny to have a Bridal shower with just girls. It was kinda wierd to be there. :)

-- We Did look at some plates and silverware at Macy's but we're still afraid of getting stuff before we move. *shrug*

-- I revised and finished my tutorial on making leather armor.
-- Here are some of the folks at a demo in Thatcher park last month or so.

And this is a parking garage in East Lansing, Michigan.

6/9/3
-- I got my lace from Lee Valley Tools.
-- Linda somehow found out that Settlers of Catan is available to be played online.

-- Settlers of Catan is a horse trading style game, where you make trades with other players to get the material you need to build your roads, cities and settlements. If you aren't careful, it can get kind of mean.

-- I've got an Interview coming up! *Cheer* *Cheer* Friend of a friend method.
-- "Groundhog Day" and "Bend it Like Beckham" are both fine films.

6/4/3
-- Someone (Barney Dalton) set up a robot in Australia and hooked it up to the internet. Take a look at The Telerobot.

You have to download the control applet. Login as guest with no password and give a nickname.

Using the Y axis camera (YCam), X increases right, Y increases away, Z is height, S is degerees of swivel, T is degrees of tilt.

-- Jenny is back from her visit to Michigan. Her drive was apparently un-eventful and early June is a fine time to visit Niagra Falls.

6/1/3
-- Happy June!
-- I've got a program called Gallery running on my Linux box now. It does pretty much all the photo album on the web work that I can imagine. Take a look at my photo albums if you like.

-- If you're related to me and want an account to post pictures, drop me a line.
